HTC Lancaster is a QWERTY slider with Android for AT&T
submitted by cellsea at date 2009-05-25 06:31:04
Meet the HTC Lancaster, which kinda looks like a Magic when closed -- but open, it takes on more of a traditional Touch Pro-ish form factor for a QWERTY slider than the G1 / Dream. It's got triband EDGE and 850 / 1900MHz HSPA, AGPS, a 3 megapixel fixed-focus camera, Bluetooth 2.0, microSD expansion, and a "unique HTC social messaging user interface" that we'd assume takes cues from that Hero stuff we've been seeing recently....

Leaked Image of G3 aka HTC Hero Surfaced
submitted by cellsea at date 2009-05-05 07:38:09
An anonymous reader sent us these photos of the G3, aka as the HTC Hero, that will be released probably in Q3 this year. This device look very similar to the HTC Magic in terms of the form factor and possibly slightly slimmer, but without a trackball at the bottom (which is a pity as it is a really good navigation tool). Good news though, the picture seems to indicate a slot for a 3.5mm headphone jack, one of the chief complain of existing Android device users. Hopefully we will see more news coming out for this device in time to come....
